So I didn't succumb to retrospectives of the year gone by. Perhaps at least in part because the website was up for only about two months and there was, therefore, not so much relevant of retrospection.
However, much like a small child at a party where the desserts are out when he arrives, I have big plans for the upcoming year. Appropos of the casual visitor, the plan is to continue the Poetry Duel on the home page, Throwback Thursday here where I re-introduce some tome no longer in print, and am looking forward to many more reviews of new works (please feel free, Indie authors, to query me if you'd like an honest review) - mystery, thriller, romance, poetry, sci-fi/fantasy, nonfiction, pretty much anything. For those of you looking for more, I am planning to add a page offering out-of-print, superb condition, paperbacks for $4.99 including shipping, plus more of my own works - poems, monographs, short and longer fiction - both samples and (I hope) finished works). I am sure there will be more diatribes but the two projects I am excited about (time permitting) are digitizing old family photos and hoping the internet will help bring more context to the older ones and digitizing my grandmother's writings which were originally published in periodicals across the midwest written specifically for the farm wife. As with the fictional (?) child in the opening there will probably be not enough time in 2018 to accomplish all of these goals but please stop by and see, occasionally if not more often, how well (or poorly) it goes! Looking forward to 2018 and "thanks for all the fish!"
