Just to get started

Here is my opportunity to pontificate (and yours to add a penny or two of your (civil) thoughts)! I like reading and especially like to introduce others to any gems I've managed to find (no need to keep secrets)!
So here you'll find reviews of things I like, reviews of works people ask me to give an opinion on (drop me an email on the contact page - please nothing here!), and notes on reading and writing related topics - like the looming Amazon monopoly (sic) or places to find works of interest.
I do like a variety of genres, and have friends who help me cast the net even wider so please do not come to this page with the preconceived notion that only the stuff I write is what I read or that I only read things as well (or poorly, depending on your opinion!) done. 
As with the rest of this site, relax, take what you will in the spirit of comraderie and good will, sit back and enjoy.
